music fame, really graduate from CHS??? That is big news here in
Atlanta.

Thanks for signing Chaffey's Guestbook. Yes, Robert L. Shaw was
an alumnus of Chaffey High School. He graduated in 1933. If we ever get caught
up (never), we will post his picture here. Still working on the Chaffey Alumni
Hall of Fame. You probably already know that Robert was Music Director Emeritus,
Conductor Laureate, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. |

Comments: I just read all the messages again. It has been several months
from my last visit. It is nice to see so many names, and hear what everyone has
to say. I'm from the class of '66 and we will be having a reunion again real
soon. Everyone that reads this needs to be sure and share the info with anyone
you keep in contact with. I have a lot of names and addresses from our last
reunion, but need lots more. Please contact me at my address or Alexa Gardner,
or Deedee (weber) Taylor, or Mary (Fry) Schuller. We four have kept in contact
all these years. We have started a new tradition. We are going to get together
every year and just catch up. We had a week in Nashville TN, in Oct, 98 and had
the best time. We even looked up Burk Mays in Franklin, TN while we were there.
He and his wife and two kids were just wonderful and we all really had a great
reunion. Last year at Valentines, a bunch of us met at a resturant in downtown
Upland, CA for a small reunion. This is some of the best times we have together.
Please contact me or anyone else you know or remember and lets get together as
often as possible. Our next reunion should be in 2001. Sounds like a Space
oddessey to me. Does anyone know where Richard Durrant is? Or John Gorter? How
about the Johnson brothers? I know there must be more of us from the 60's out

I just found this site and I think it brings back
memories. I love it here in the Coachella Valley and as of this point, I am now
writing the news on a daily basis. Elected officials of most of the cities here
know me very well. (My name was Ben Lerias when I attended school, but I changed
it to Leslie when I left the area in '95.) So I am a full-time journalist and
doing the Coachella Valley Newsminute every day on the Widespread Weather
Hotline. That's me. I have no regrets coming here.

Comments: Ok, Class of 1960, we're getting closer to the 40th reunion and
no word of anything in the works at this point. I see that Bill Tangeman is
still listed as the contact but no news yet. Maybe a bunch of us ought to form
our own group and start looking for a site. I think Ontario should be the
place(maybe at the Airport Hilton). But if we don't get after it pretty soon, it
