| Dear Chaffey High Class of 1981 Alumni, It is with
sadness and regret that we announce the passing of our friend and advocate
Adele Vinciqerra-Redfearn. Adele passed away from heart failure on December
7, 2002 - one day before her 50th birthday. Adele was initially diagnosed
and treated for breast cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer returned and was
found in her bones and heart. Adele is survived by her husband Wayne
Redfearn and twelve-year-old son Matthew.
| She was Secretary for the Assistant Principal; however, we always said it
was Adele who truly ran the school. Adele loved Chaffey High School, its'
students and staff. Adele has been one of our honored guests at both the 10
and 20-year reunions. At this time, memorial plans are unknown but it is anticipated that a
memorial will be held at Gardner Spring Auditorium. As soon as information
is known, it will be passed on to you.
In remembrance of Adele it is suggested that donations be made in her
name to Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center.

Chaffey High Class of 1981 Suggestion: As you have read, the
family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Robert and
Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center. Of course, we would not question
the family's wishes.
However, because of Adele's untiring dedication to Chaffey High School, we
thought that a creation of a scholarship in Adele Redfearn's name would be a
wonderful tribute. Upon speaking with Mr. Ed Berryman, president of the
Alumni Association, he said that unless a large endowment was made to this
scholarship it would only last for a couple of years and then be cancelled
for lack of funds. Apparently, previous scholarships named for honored
alumnus have ceased due to lack of funding. He suggested donations to the
Gardiner Spring Auditorium Fund in Adele's name would be a great honor
because Adele worked feverishly for the past 10 years on this project. If you would like to consider Mr. Berryman's suggestion, checks should be
made out to the Chaffey High School Alumni Association, in the memo line
write GWS Fund - Adele Redfearn. The address is 1245 North Euclid Avenue,
Ontario, CA 91762.
