NESC YOSEMITE TRIP
April 8-13, 2001 |
SUNDAY, APRIL 8:
* 7:30 AM: Meet at the Fifth Street lot.
* 8:00 AM: Depart.
* 10:00 AM: Potty stop at McDonald's/Carl's, Gorman.
* 1:00 PM: Lunch stop in Fresno. Fast food.
* 4:00 PM: Enter Yosemite Valley. Group shot at Valley overlook (SPECTACULAR).
* 4:30 PM: Arrive Camp Curry. Orientation, assign cabins and get moved in.
* 5:30 PM: Dinner in cafeteria.
* 7:30 PM: Evening program.
* 10:00 PM: Lights out and quiet. |
MONDAY-THURSDAY, APRIL 9-13:
* 6:30 AM: Wake up.
* 7:30 AM: Breakfast in cafeteria.
* 8:25 AM: Meeting of hiking groups and depart on day hikes.
Please note: It is essential that you are on time to the morning meetings.
You must have the following items in your day pack: journal, pencils,
warm clothes, rain gear, water. Leave room for lunch that will be
distributed at morning meeting.
* 5:30 PM: Dinner in the cafeteria.
* 7:30 PM: Evening Program.
* 10:00 PM: Lights out and quiet. |
FRIDAY, APRIL 13:
* 6:30: Wake up.
* 7:30: Pack vehicles
* 8:30: Depart: We will spend a half day at the South Fork of the Merced River and leave for home at about 1:00 PM. We will call 2 1/2 hours before we arrive home with our arrival time. Usually about 9 p.m. |
