We feel it is very important that students attend EVERY day to be successful. Absences for working, baby-sitting, vacation trip, bad weather, transportation, personal or family business, etc., are not considered qualified by the State of California.
Absences- Please ask your parents to phone the school at 467-5234 (recorder) as soon as they know you are going to be absent so you absence can be verified. Your return to school will be facilitated if they call the first day of your absence because you will nor have to take a written excuse, signed by a parent. The absence will be marked as "TRUANT" unless the Attendance Office receives a note or phone call from a parent within three days. Tardies- Students are expected to report on time to all classes. Students are considered TARDY if they are not in their seats when the bell starts ringing. Being tardy for missing the bus or getting up late is not excusable. Classroom doors may be locked when the tardy bell rings and tardy students may be taken to the lockout area for that period. Continued tardiness will result in a drop from the class.
