Letter from the Editors
Only a few more weeks and the clock will strike twelve midnight. It seems as if that is the only thing we are sure of and concerned with nowadays. What will happen after that? Who knows?

Many believe it will be the end of human existence; others believe it will be like the Nike commercial, and then there are those who believe nothing will happen because all the hype is to gain publicity and sell "necessities" for the new millenium. What will be, will be, agree? So go out there and live your life to the fullest, because no matter what we think of our lives, we are still alive, and it's one's attitude about life that enables us to cope with it or not.
With the new year just around the corner, everyone is also thinking about those New Year's resolutions. The bad thing is that they always end up making one too many promises, so none are ever fulfilled. So this year, if you do decide to make one, make ONE you know you are going to be able to stick with either by yourself or with the help of a friend.
Until then, we need to deal with events that are taking place in a near future, like Christmas. Since everyone is making a big issue out of the whole Y2K dilemma, we're pretty sure everyone will try to make this Christmas the best ever. But let's not forget the true meaning of the holiday and what it brings with it. We know what you're thinking...PRESENTS, right?
Sure there is no teen who doesn't associate Christmas with getting gifts, but there are some gifts that come from the heart, and not those handmade ones either. Consider DOING something special and unique for your family, possibly something your parents have been nagging at you for months to do. How about cleaning your room! Put a big bow on the door, and say, "Merry Christmas, Mom. Just what you always wanted, to be able to see my floor!" She is guaranteed to burst into tears.
It's not about spending big bucks this time of year; it's about love.
