Construction
Class "A" reinforced
concrete, per the 1937 California Earthquake and Windstress law, adopted after
Long Beach earthquake of 1933. The work performed from 1937 to 1939. Built by
the Works Projects Administration and the Public Works Administration, with
$195,000 in local bonds. It replaced the 1912 Auditorium and Library building
that was condemned after the 1933 earthquake. |
Bruce
Jones, a teacher on the
Chaffey Faculty, is also a
member of the American Guild
of Organists.
He is playing the mighty Austin
organ in the Gardiner W.
Spring Auditorium. |
