"CHAFFEY'S MIGHTY WEBMASTER"

"It is remarkable enough that Chaffey High School has a Web site with the breadth and usefulness it does, and something much more that it is also the largest of its type. Not only does that suggest a commendable level of dedication among those who built and maintain the site, but also a high level of interest in their alma mater by the school's graduates."

Certainly we thank all the Chaffey Alumni for their support alluded to in the article. By the way, when the first article was written, the one that appeared in the Los Angeles Times a week ago today, the number of alumni who had signed on stood at 2,640. With our next uploading (next weekend), that number should be over 2,700. So thanks again, Chaffey Alumni.

We are begging for patience and forgiveness from the Class of 1954 and the Class of 1959.
We have been posting information about your reunions for some time now, but frankly, I was becoming confused. Thanks to a few committee members, all will be corrected, 1954 switched back to 1959, and 1959 readded and again edited, and then..or wait, 1954 will be readded, and then.... Well, what are the odds that two classes are holding a Chaffey Reunion, on the SAME DAY at the SAME PLACE? But as a senior citizen, I am excused automatically for the confusion. (This print is not red, but just a reflection off of my face right now.) Promise: It is all straightened out now, all posted, hyperlinked, etc., and hopefully, it will be uploaded sometime this coming weekend.

There is reason to believe there are going to be some surprises coming by next weekend. I'll believe it when I see it.

One more added interest: We as a group are gathering clothing and food to have distributed to Kosovo monthly. I have personally fed a family for the past 2 years. We all take this on as a project here in the OSCE Mission.
We also hire the observers to go into the regions to monitor the situations. 
We are a Tri-Mission here in Vienna. The American Embassy/OSCE Mission/UNVIE.

My children go to the International School of Vienna, and as a project, my daughter's 7th grade class has taken on a refugee camp here on the outskirts of Vienna. They are gathering games and clothes for the kids in this camp. The 6th, 7th and 8th grade refugee kids will be attending some of the school functions such as dances, games, etc. Their secondary language is English, so all will work well for them. 

As a 1969 grad of Chaffey, I am glad to pass this info onto anyone that is interested. If anyone would like to support this cause they can get in touch with me and I can turn them onto the proper organizations that need help with funds and other needs. One non-profit organization now has 43 trucks that deliver our goods to the war torn regions. They do this on their own and for free. The organizer is an Austrian women about my age of 47, and we work with her to get this stuff put together for delivery. 

Our Ambassador's wife is one of the coordinators along with two wives whose husbands work with me. It is a wonderful and rewarding project and I highly recommend it because I know firsthand that it is a real organization and all money goes into the food and clothing. The drivers donate their own trucks/time/money.
