There are 58,213 Names inscribed
on the Vietnam Memorial Wall. With
the upcoming visit of the Vietnam memorial Moving Wall to the
Chaffey High School campus, we deem it a duty and responsibility, an
honor and a privilege to pay tribute to the 14 men from Ontario, as
well as the 46 men from the entire Chaffey Joint Union High School
District, and then the 240 from the Chaffey High School surrounding
communities, as our way of honoring all while remembering our own.
Concerning the 240 names listed in our special
tribute, we have gone to great lengths to check the accuracy of all
data as it appears in the Vietnam Database on the Internet and in
our hardcopy document. Please
contact us if you feel there is an error or if there is an
unintentional omission or if you have a positive suggestion for
improvement.
Note: The Helendale entry
is for a Chaffey Class of 1954 Graduate (which is the exception to
the rest which are from the local area).

We have limited the surrounding
communities, as time and space have allowed, hoping to cover at
least the area, which at one time, historically speaking, was served by the Chaffey institutions of education,
beginning in 1883 with the Chaffey College of Agriculture in Ontario, now
Chaffey High School.
