Ontario's Water Supply
In the lands of medium rainfall the water supply is a matter
to be carefully considered. Ontario has
carefully considered this matter and has provided a supply of cool, pure water,
brought from the mountain streams and from wells and water tunnels on the
mesas, that is unequaled. The San
Antonio Water Company, a mutual company owned by the land owners, furnishes the
water for the irrigation of 5000 acres of orange and lemon groves, and the
supply is sufficient to insure at all times all the water that this vast tract
will ever require. There are several
smaller irrigation companies that have an abundant supply of water.

The domestic water is supplied by the City Water Department
and looking well to the future, the city of Ontario is now putting down
additional wells and planning an extension of its water system that will at its
completion be adequate for all future needs of "The City that
Charms."
Ontario is particularly fortunate in the abundance and
permanency of its water supply.
