Comments: It was great to see and "visit" Chaffey again.
I taught World History and coached Swimming/Water Polo during the 60's and
70's at Chaffey. I'm retired in Oregon now but I have Mickey and Greg
Moneta (Chaffey grads) close by. Gary Simpson keeps us posted on the
happenings. As I look back at my 35 years in Education, the years at
Chaffey are at the top. This site is now bookmarked and I will be visiting
it often. I am so pleased to hear about the remodeling of the old pool and
the reinstatement of Water Polo. Keep up the good work. Dave |

the way from Australia. There is much information about the Chaffey
Brothers on our Etiwanda
Historical Society Page that you may be interested in if you are a
descendent of George and William Chaffey. In 1886 they left the Ontario
area and went to Australia where they pioneered more work in irrigation,
much as they did for Etiwanda and Ontario. |

Australia. The
founder of Chaffey and the City of Ontario (Model Colony) left here in
1886 and left his mark in Australia by introducing scientific irrigation
to Australia (1887) through the establishment of Mildura
and Renmark in the Murray

Comments: I was so excitied to get this page!! I graduated 1974.
Moved away in "76 and have missed the whole area ever since. I lived
off of 5th Str. on Bonnie Brae near Hawthorne Elem. I walked everyday
(until I could drive) along Fifth. Such memories. I used to park on Fifth
near the tennis courts. That was when I went and didn't ditch to go to the
beach!!. Anyone remember Anna Ferradino?? We were best friends. We still
keep in close contact. I am now in Iowa!! Teaching school raising a family
and loving every minute of it. I do miss the area, chocolate covered
bananas at Balboa , laying out at Newport. Skiing at Mt. Baldy, Big Bear
etc. If anyone knows of any info about my classmates please let me know. |
