Greetings to Brisbane, Australia!
As a matter of fact, the Chaffey brothers, George and William, after founding Etiwanda (1881) and the Ontario Model Colony (1882), were invited to leave here and go to Australia to found Mildura and Renmark, or create gargantuan irrigation projects to convert a desert to an oasis, the same as they had done here in the Southern California desert.
Some of the Chaffey Family History, the Chronology of George Chaffey, Jr.,
and even a little history from a site from Mildura about the Rio Vista can be researched from the Chaffey High School History Pages.
I am sure you know the Chaffeys also founded a Chaffey College in Mildura, which high school is still active today.

Please tell Mr. Simpson "hi" for me. Is he still the Fasti advisor? I work just up the street from you, at the Upland Unified School District. I am a Senior Fiscal Accountant in the Business Department. Life is pretty strange, even though I did terrible in Math all through school, it's now what I do all day! And the fact that I love it is even stranger. 

Anyways, I just wanted to say "thanks" for all of your hard work. You look exactly the same as when I sat in your classroom. Since I graduated in 1982, that would have been the '79/'80 school year, I believe. Keep up the good work.

Hello Mr. Fierro,
(Period 2, Row 4, Seat 4--?) Out of the 96 geometry students in Room 118, you are the first to know that you just received an "A" for second semester. Good final! Good work! And I will presently E-Mail you privately to give you the Password to see all the pictures on the Internet from the Senior Awards Banquet. About 160 pictures turned out good. (It was the German photographer!!!)

Thanks a million for your kind message. You have just helped to cap another beautiful year at Chaffey. In the name of the above, and all the faculty and staff, we thank you and many, many other students and grads --  young and younger and the youngest!
