Weddings and Receptions - GENERAL
INFORMATION
The charming garden/grounds of the historic
Chaffey-Garcia House (circa 1874) are available for weddings and receptions. Up to 150 of your guests can watch you exchange vows in the romantic Victorian gazebo. Then enjoy dining and dancing on the
shady brick patio, and green lawns surrounded by flowers. The antique farm implements and train baggage wagon make interesting conversation pieces. A museum room is reserved for the convenience of the bride and her attendants.
George Chaffey (founder of Ontario and Upland) lived in the house when he moved here in 1881. It was the location of the first electric light in southern California and (at the time) the longest phone line in the world.
Period/theme weddings are welcome, e.g., Civil War era, Victorian, early 1990s, western, etc.
A wedding coordinator and very reasonably priced, custom designed wedding/reception packages are available.
You may bring in your own caterer.
Insurance (free or at low cost) is required for all events and events must end at 10:00 P.M.
Please call for additional information or to make an appointment for a complimentary tour.
