1933 - Long Beach Earthquake
1935 - Rebuilding Begins
1948 - Fontana schools form own district
(school population at Chaffey High School was over 6,000 students.)
1952 - Upland High School opened
(first new high school in district; remained in district until 1988)
1959 - Chaffey College moved off of Ontario campus to Alta
Loma
1959 - Montclair High School opened -- second high school in
district
1964 - Alta Loma High School opened --
third high school in district
1966 - Adult Ed formed -- Harvey Shirk,
Principal, 1966-1976, Al Schoenborn, Principal, 1976-1998 Ron Scott, Principal, 1998-Present
