PARENT/COMMUNITY SUPPORT
(Information below is located in the District's Report Card - A Profile For The Community
)
Parent members of the School
Site Council and GATE Advisory Council provide valuable input to the school.
Parents also support the school by their involvement in the many booster
groups: Sports Band/Auxiliary Aides, Alumni Association and Pep Squad.
Kiwanis and Rotary service
clubs contribute to school activities. Chaffey has been adopted by the
Sunkist Corporation which provides services to the school and District
each year.
The Chapter I general parent
meeting was held in October 1999. Parents had the opportunity to discuss
California Achievement Test scores of their children and the Title I budget
for Chaffey High School. They also visited North Hall to see some of the
technology that is now in use and that was funded with Title I money. Brochures
that contain information to help parents help their children succeed are
mailed home about every 6 weeks. Information about the spring meeting will
be mailed home late April.
The Bilingual Advisory
Council meets monthly. Parents who practice in this council find they have
significant input into their children's education
During the 1999-2000 school
year we have scheduled monthly evening forums to give all parents and community
members opportunities to hear about the school's programs and to share
their ideas |
